That's an awesome shot - and no telescope! You've inspired me to borrow your exposure data as a starting point and see what my 4 MP 380mm zoom will do. Thanks for sharing.

Very nice; 10 if I could vote. I guess I'll have to wait to find out what the photo specs were. What zoom factor was it?

You got great clarity and sharpness. One of the best moon shots on DPC. B&W works great in this case. Be careful though, you are close to blowing out the whites in this shot (upper right) and the blackness is becoming unrealistic. If you look at published shots of Moon, the sky is never this perfect black. But you get high score from me - this is one amazing shot.

Beautiful shot....I wanna see your equipment!!! Wish it was in color though because the subtle colors of the moon are very cool...

You cropped off half of the implied moon in darkness, but what wonderful clarity of the moon! Nice work.

Very nice shot - does this require a telescope?

You must have used a killer tele lens on this one! There are not too many shots of the moon that I like, but this is definitely one I do like. The craters are so clear and sharp, and the B & W does it justice.

HOLY ZOOM BATMAN! And what forklift do you use to hold the lens on that camera? I'm assuming this is through a telescope. Seriously though, this is a great shot. Something out of a NASA mission book. wow.

I'm a sucker for moon shots and this one is excellent, color would have gotten you a 10 from me ;)

Wow. A truly astonishing mooon picture. If you took it yourself (as opposed to taking a picture of another picture, something I'd assume you'd never do), this is one of the best pictures of a moon I've ever seen. Mind you, it has nothing to do with dreams, but just because of the sheer picture quality, I won't mark you down for it. (9)
