Too random. None of the birds are providing a focal point, and if anything this seems like a shot of the lighthouse which is spoiled by the birds and cyclist(?).

Just a little to boring? Maybe zoom in on one or two of the birds? 6

the framing is just a tad crooked

Good catch of a day in the life of. The horizon line is a bit off. I would like to see more DOF to the birds and not a landscape, since they are really the subject. hard to do on those moving buggers

While it does meet the challenge, the birds are not very clear, it would have been nicer if it would have been zoomed a bit more in (or would have been closer)

Nice, pretty, but not much detail on the seagulls. I like the lighthouse, but the red rider is just plain distracting, wait for it....Framing, color all O.K, but the birds look a bit over-exposed, maybe a different white balance setting (if possible). 7 Rob the Swash

The horizon is not only slanted but you have placed it exactly in the middle which is not really a photographic plus point. There is something white and distracting on the right edge of your image about quarter of the way down, which you could have easily cropped out without cropping any of the lower gull out as well. I see you positioned yourself to include the lighthouse in your shot, which was a good idea. The red cyclist also brings in some effect. I wish the lamp post wasn't there though, but I guess you couldn't have changed that at all. The stormy sky and rough sea give this photo a real autumn feel.

I like that you were able to capture the birds at different stages of flight. Wings up stroke, down stroke, and mid stroke. It gives a sense of the birds' flight. Beautiful background, but it seems to distract from the birds.

I like the over all composition, but I feel cropping it off just to the left of the biker in red would have made the image look a little larger on the resizing

The subject is very difused - instead of first looking at the birds - I see the light house, then I notice the red-shirted biker, them the rock wall, then I notice the flurry of birds. Perhaps a less distracting background, and less birds, or a few central focused birds and blury periferal ones.
