 Day 17 of 30 day self portrait.

In a weird mood today. wanted to try a few things. a picture with lyrics, high contrast black and white and grain. The full photo had full waist up nudity so be thankful for the crop tool people. thank your lucky stars. ;)

the song this is from is "into the ocean", from Blue October. The whole chorus which I'd have loved to have fit in the pic but couldnt is:

I wanna swim away, but don't know how.
Sometimes it feels just like I'm falling in the ocean.

Let the hurricane set in motion.
Let the rain of what I feel right now come down,

I tried some shower shots a few days ago and mine turned out horribly. This looks great, Crystal. I like the steamy look of the water.

crystal this is fantastic - i almost remember the song, just like i almost remember feeling this way

(it conveys a really strong image that's easy to relate to...)

I believe I read in a thread somewhere that you've only been shooting for about five months? You're obviously incredibly talented and a very quick learner as far as technique. You've got a great imagination and an excellent eye. This is an incredibly powerful photograph to me, and one which makes me stare in awe at the sheer beauty of it. The shadows, the light, the way the water looks on your skin, the angle of your head - all combine to make this mesmerizing. I appreciate the words you used to echo the sentiment of this picture, but would also like the see the picture without them, too.
