A lovely rendition with outstanding colors in the bulb's glass and a very cool non descript background to make the subject shine. Congratulations on your top 20 finish.

I don't know exactly why, but I like it. Maybe it is the sharp cristal and reflex of the bulb against the colorful off focus background.
The wire seems a bit distracting, though.
All in all, very nice...

This is a very good photo and I'll give credit for the quality of what you have presented. If I sound very blah I'm sorry but I have to give a 7 solely based upon technical merit which has to be recognized. Had you made the shot a bit more interesting and maintained this technical strength, you would have scored higher. Overall, the photos in this whole challenge are really quite disappointing but you are in the top 3 in my books for what its worth.

Oh the torture I imagine you went thru..."include the wire?", "don't include the wire?". :D Great idea for showing an electrical item. The clear glass and wonderful background work well. One thing I may have considered is doing this in a portrait orientation with maybe some negative space underneath. I'm sure you made the best choice given the situation. Either way...well done. Best of luck to you in the challenge.
