From RAW
B/W conversion via channel mixer in a "palladium print" action I am working on, local cloning, a little burning, cropped significantly (left extra to play with, last minute setup), add vignetting, resize, USM, borders, save for web
I saw how few entries there are in this one, and I've been playing with B/W conversion, so I gave this a whirl. I like the print, I don't like the image very much, expect mediocre score. |

I thought the tones you were able to capture, especially in the lower left peppers, was pretty good. Not the easiest subject to get really great contrast, but you seemed to handle it pretty well. I ended up giving this one a 6, but I don't think I really looked all that closely at it when I scored it. That lack of color causes people to really bypass the black and whites unless there is a lot of contrast.

in my opinion B/W doesn't help this image ... would love to see the vibrant colors that I know these things have ... |

It's risky shooting something so colorful as avacoado and peppers in black and white, but you have pulled it off. |

I'm thinking the lack of color for this shot wasn't the best choice. You did meet the challenge. Best of luck. |

Really not sure about the B&W in this one , the peppers have "stange" tones. |

Although some tones and textures are there, they are just scattered here and about. This screams out for really strong and vibrant colors. |
