i had this at a 9. i loved the concept and the execution. great use of negative space to add meaning, entriguing depth of field, and good focus on the subject.

I am so bummed out that this photo didn't place higher! It was my FAVORITE from the challenge. Maybe becuase you can't actually see the seed. But it is an AMAZING shot nonetheless. I LOVE it. :)

Excellent shot. VERY nice use of shallow Depth of Field. Excellent light, too. Probably won't place as high as it deserves, but I hope I'm wrong. Good luck in the challenge.

I like the photo but I would have no idea that's what is happening in it without reading it. I think a really good photo shouldn't need explaining.Then again I guess what I like about it is it's mysterious quality.

Unique DOF...I would have to think about this one........
It has notable merit, but the "splay-focus" on the little girl's face doesn't make a great first impression. However, I do give you "snaps" for edgy artistic value! :)
