Ah! the light from the filamen is blinding even looking at your photo! I'm thinking this shot must have been pretty hard to take? Pretty abstract.

Nice idea. Also reminds me of DNA in a cell.

I like the overall blue tone to the photo and the nice glow from the bulb - too bad it's not actually a neon light...

nice shot, but the crop is a little too tight I feel

At a quick glance I think ..... yeah so what? It took a bit closer look to see the filament and I thought yeah.....so a 7. Good luck!

A bit a stretch for chemistry in my opinion, but I like the use of lines and similar colors

Nice light, almost works really well. Not sure about the disk, it throws the eye around.

Very cool picture, a bit more physics than chemistry though.

Cool image. I have no idea what a "neon flux" is. I would love to find out how you did this shot. Love the colour.

I don't get it. and this ugly bluish colour does not appeal to me at all. not even if it is the right colour of this bulb.

Back to comment: Sorry to say but the light given off by the filament is not caused by a chemical reaction; however, my vote was not based on DNMC criteria. I find the cropping of this image a bit odd, as there is considerably more negative space on the left side of the image than at the top or the right. Where this image could use more negative space would be at the bottom to better place the filament around the top third of the image. The negative space at the top, left, and right sides of the image should be about equal in size to complement the symmetry of the light bulb.

The implicit link to chemistry is lost on me.

Great shot!!!! Simple - yet complex at the same time - love the color. Excellent!

I always thought electricity came under physics. I like the abstractness of this though, however I find the border distracting.
