Daylight lamps used and edited curves in PS Camera RAW
ISO200 f/5.6 1/50 55m

post challenge remarks:
Thank you to all who voted for this entry. I am delighted with a top 20 spot. For those who queried the validity of the shot let me say that while I admit it is somewhat over processed, the only editing was done by manipulating the curves in Photoshop camera RAW and I liked the colors and lighting that this highlighted. It was also validated by the site as an acceptable edit within the rules of basic editing - thanks again for your comments!

Very interesting post processing. Gives the shot a very sinister look, and I mean that in a nice way.

Nice 'play on photo', hahah well done overall and I like the smoke it from the flame gives it a nice effect. However it seems a bit over processed in my opinion but that's just me.

Yep, it's overprocessed. But you know what, that works here, adds to the whole "science" feel of the shot.

I don't know how dpc voters in general will feel about this one, but I love the weird colours.

The editing on this is different... I think I like it. Has a very psychedelic feel to it.

It is a nice idea and a really fun effect. Really curious to what others will say and how it will do.

Light my fire! Nice colour. The PP adds so much depth to the photo. The smoke seems like a whole seperate layer in the background. Great work.

the flames are good and so is the smoke, but the effect is not very appealing on the fingers.

Interesting for the plethora of colours - but a little on the over-cooked side IMO ;-)

The fire and color are interesting. I think this one takes a few seconds to get an appreciation for the luminance even though it was generated in post.

It seems a bit "match" for Basic Editing.
