 Pretty straightforward shot. I actually was not thinking of the soft focus challenge while shooting this, but as soon as I saw it, I knew it was it. I would probably do the soft focus even if it were not for this challenge. And yes, I did it in post. Levels, curves, levels again, curves for color cast, hue/sat, curves to increase contrast, smart sharpen, gaussian blur faded, resized, sfw.

congratulations on a top ten with this beautiful shot..the lighting of the swan in and out of the light lends charachter to the subject and its just soft enough to add elegance and grace

Magnificant!!! Beautiful coloring, soft focus, shadows and detail - perfect combination to portray a fairytale look. The only thing I wish were a little different is the lack of light on her eye/face.

Wasnt' sure what to vite this as at first. The image is great, the lighting is just so harsh, seems like a spot light just on a small portion of the swan. If the lighting had been better, a little more diffused over the whole swan, this could have been one of the top images IMO.

A little more light on the eyes would have brought this image alive, as the soft focus is good....8
