Got this idea after visiting my dying grandmother.

I have never felt as strong about any picture for DPC and I am hoping this will do good.

So I will just devote this to Þórdís Valdemarsdóttir

Rest in peace Þórdís

Well, 6'th place. I would like to thank all the guys that commented on this picture.

This is my favourite shoot ever. I probably had better shots but this one shows the feeling that I had coming out of the hospital that day.

Well, thank you for the votes everyone.

Very strong emotional composition and your background comments are helpful to help the viewer to understand your feelings. Awesome and congrats on 6th place, Bolti.

Pictures made with a strong emotion inside are always the best pictures. My favorite pictures aren't the ones that are technically perfect, but those I've made when I felt like shit. I can imagine why this is your favorite shot.

You did a great job and expressed your feelings very well. Love it. Adding to favorites.

Wow, this man has big teeth! :) Just kidding.. I really like the light here, love the diagonals created by his hands and the rope. The dualtone here works just so well... I really hope to see this one ribbon. Great job!

Love it, hope it does well. Only thing I don't like is the crop point on the right (in the frame) arm. It looks like someone else is reaching down and grabbing the rope. Other than that, cool lighting, great expression, interesting composition that leads the eye around. Really good job. 9.

Too many of us had the same idea, but your image is exceptional. Great expression. Love the teeth and eyes. The way you cropped it emphasizes his sense of being caught. Great job. 9
