Lens: Sigma 28-80mm f/3.5-5.6 Aspherical HF for Pentax
Location: Haga Town, Japan

The fireworks display in the town where I work.

I also took two rolls of slide film which turned out pretty well, and had some prints done (much more expensive than from negative film).

Oh, the technique. I really thought more people would have been aware of my previous posts on the subject (;>þ). It's just a matter of having the lens out of focus at the start of exposure, then putting it into focus during exposure. (Too bad if you don't know how manual focussing works. ;>þ)

This is an amazing capture. The pink fireworks at the very bottom sorta take away from awe of the other fireworks, but this is still a great shot.

Gorgeous abstract. Can't believe the way you were able to get such a wonderful long exposure without overexposure.

Very surreal looking, I am guessing this was taken in Japan? Great colours.

Great colors! I assumed that I would see a 'This photo has been validated." when I scrolled down, and I did! It looks very unnatural, but I like it. Well done! -7-

I think th color saturation is fantastic but the scene is too overly softened for me. BOL

Totally over-process but hey, it's Free Study so why not! It's very cool but I would have cloned out the pink at the bottom and softened some of the edges along the lower left.

Wowsers! Are those fireworks? I've never seen a fireworks shot like it before, if so. Great colors, and makes for a pretty cool abstract. Hope you have a good writeup in the comments on this one, I'm interested to check it out post-challenge.

Well, I'm quite confused about this one and how it was done. I'll give you a 7 right now, but I have to ask for validation, so look for it.
