I can't quite express exactly why I find this composition powerful. Mayhap it is because of the silhouettes of the people walking off in the distance and that winding curving path. It is so symbolic of walking the path of life and going off into the horizon which holds a great unknown. The muted colors of the blue skys, the grey earth, the white steam compliment that thought because I think they act as veils covering the future from view. We don't know if vibrant bold hues signifying good times or dark & dreary colors siginifying rough & difficult times will great us as we walk that path towards the future. I cannot offer any critiques that point to any flaws or improvments needed in this photo.
