Critique Club Review:
You made the top 10, hard to critique that. Color is well saturated, contrast is great. Exposure is really good. The bits of cloud at the bottom of the picture do compete a bit for attention. The only other technical issue, is that center of interest is about dead center in the frame. A rule of thirds purist would not grade the picture as highly for that reason alone. (I'm not one of them.) But I do think a bit off center would have helped. |

| Excellent composition, lighting is good and the subjects are wonderful to look upon. As a gaze upon this photo I feel like I am observing a Greek goddess teaching her young son how to control the magic that flows through their viens. The levitating feather is just one lesson his mother seeks to teach him as he attains greater powers as he approachs apotheosis. The photo is wonderfully presented, creative, and very unique in this challenge. I do believe I will see this in the top 10. Wonderful work. |

| I like the perspective looking down on the subjects, although I am a bit distracted by the out of focus objects in the bottom-right, and just over her left shoulder. |

| Interesting image. Makes the viewer stop and try to figure it out - which is a good thing. ;^) Nice composition and your POV makes this work. Lighting/exposure is well done for a subject with lighter tones. The primary point of interest in this for me is the second (smaller) person, rather than the feather as the title implies. | Interesting angle and nice idea with the floating feather. The models' expressions work, too, and sell the idea that it's magical. Not sure about the tight crop on the left and empty space on the right. 6. |

| i gave this one a ten. the overall effect of the shot is fantastic; it has such a high quality feel about it, and is really elegant in a tragi-greek kind of way. costumes are brilliant. the effort and attention to detail obvious. couple of minor composition quibbles; it does feel a little cramped within the frame, and it is also impossible to tell if the feather is a woah! monster size job balancing on the girls hand, or a small feather floating down towards them with her reaching out to catch it. but neither point detracts from the overall stonkiness of the picture. fantiastic stuff. |

| Creative and well shot. I'm not positive about the composition, but I can't quite suggest something better. The two robes seem to get lost together and it makes the two look like they are wearing some bizarre toga for two. Technicals are nicely done though. I don't mind the highlights. 6 |

| this has a real magic forrest look and is really well done...my only question is 'what is the purpose of the blonde dude?' looks like he is coming out of her side like a siamese twin...I would have sent him home and concentrated on making a sensational image of her as she is stunning and has that real mystical look...the feather is superb, so is the lighting, I also like the out of focus bits at the front...I am going to give you 9 |
