I think the grain adds some interest to it, without the grain it would just be a straightforward picture of someone's arm, half of their face, and a camera. Besides, everyone aleady knows what arms look like, and cameras and walls, so they don't need to be literal :p

I like the noise, and the image in general.

All I can say is "The noise was intentional" and "that's what the 10-22mm LOOKS like, no lens hood here" :-)

I thought I recognised you, Bear. I'm really not sure what all the noise is about, though . ;>þ

The noise really don´t add to much. The half you there too and the big lens with hood mak a lot the camera itself. This is only my view point.

Did you mean for it to have so much noise?

You're not allowed to have deliberate noise. Which is oxymoronic in that it isn't noise if it belongs. But that's for pictures and not for digital - ah, never mind. I'll give it ten because nobody else will.

i gave this a 6... i liked it; more for the post editting than the actual shot itself though. the picture seemed not really all that much thought about, to be honest. it keeps a sense of heightened urgency and realism, i suppose. but like i said, it's the editting that sets it apart from the run of the mill; i think it's effectively done; though one suspects might have been moreso if went monochrome. also, i'd have taken off the camera strap; looks like big floppy bunny ears which probably isn't the look you were going for. might be wrong; you might like big bunny ears (i know i do, they're lovely) and you might have wanted to maximise cute bunny ear awareness amongst dpcers. it's worked. can't stop thinkng about them now. anyway, 6.
