I like the mood you set in this picture. I would flip the picture so that it didn't have the mirror look. Nice work.

This picture is awesome. Very good mood and feeling.
But the portrait must be from the camera itself. The focus and DOF here sugests the girl as subject not the camera.

Interesting shot. Camera in focus might have been a better choice

Nice image, great idea. Seems to be a bit to over sharpened.

On second look it is very over sharpened, you can see the jagged edges very clearly in your hair.

Self portrait + camera. Should have been self portrait of camera. jaja

I like this alot, however this is a camera self portrait challenge and thus i think the camera should be the part in focus rather than the person which i geuss is you.

i originally gave this an 8, but in retrospect, think it deserves upping to a 9. i initially knocked it down because i wasn't particularly keen on the purple hue, but you know, i'm warming to it. i think the colours suit the melancholy feel of the shot, and the general ambience going on. i love the composition too; the out of focusness of the camera works a treat in that to me it suggests a sort of binding companionship between the photographer and the camera. actually, it's sort of composed in a sixties french moody artfilm drama type thing (for real style overdrive, i just wish you had an old Leica instead of a modern silver canon!). the lighting is also incredible; the light to dark across the shot engrossingly effective. it's all so stylish, so captivatingly lovely. screw the 9: 10.

btw, cool specs!

Is it the camera or you who is in self portrait? If the camera, then perhaps having it in focus might help.

Feel the challenge asks for the camera to be the subject and point of interest. Nice shot but marked down due to DoF

Interesting choice of focus. Not really sure if I like it or not.

Nice dreamy mood you've communicated.
The camera is only a dream in the minds eye. ;) [9]

I don't like how the camera is more out of focus than the person

that's really nice...I like the duotone...perhaps it's more a person portrait than a camera one, but I won't mark it down as it's a really pleasing shot 7
