Probably there’s no surprise that this is a simulation. To capture a real one you need some special equipment and I think is pretty expensive.

My setup: apple, a laser pointer cap (as a bullet), some flour, two straws to drive the flour in the right place (from behind the background paper). I have to say it wasn’t easy. Flour moves faster than I expected so, it took a couple of attempts to get it in the right place.

Nevertheless, it was quite fun to do it. Thanks for your votes.

p.s.: I’m still mad at myself for not doing a proper post-processing. I guess that’s how one learns.

That is amazing. I wonder how many apples you had to go through to get the timing down.

This is really cool. I would like to see what you did to setup the shot. It looks like talcum powder on the paper. If this is real, then wow.

Nice photo. While it doesn't have quite the impact the famous photo had it's still a great accomplishment. I'm wondering though why there is no impact markings on the other side unless it's just not visible from this angle.

Ok. I've seen enough of these to know I need to get the equipment to try it - I think. ;^) Nothing personal, this shot is quite an accomplishment I'm sure, but some others I've seen like it are a little sharper and set up differently in lighting to make it more dramatic. The bullet and spray on the left seem slightly blurred and noisy/grainy.

like the colors, appreciate the effort. this is one of the better of its ilk. if you had been able to throw a little light from the bottom, it would even be better.

You're gonna get a lot of comments on this one. ;)
Nice simulation though..... A bullet that large would turn that apple to sause!
