This is not a very original idea, I have seen it done a couple of times before and decided to give it a try, I wanted to go for a magical feeling.

PP was a bit tricky:
+ Changed color temp in RAW to get the blue colors in the bulb
+ Usual changes in Shadows, Brightness and Contrast in RAW
In PS:
+ Played with levels in Blue and Red channel separately
+ Played with curves in Blue and Red
+ Saturation
+ Brightness and Contrast
+ Crop
+ Sharpness

I wanted to get rid of the dust particles in the bulb but that is impossible in the Basic Rules (and probably very difficult even in Advanced, I would have to do a selective sharpening and then massive healing brush) but I like it the way it is.

This time I am aiming for a ribbon, GO GO GO GO!!!! time to get back to ribbon zone ;) let's see how this ends, and let's hope I don't get bashed bye DNMC nazis

Hello from the Critique Club:

As you can tell from the comments during the challenge, you have an exceptional image. On the technical side, I would be foolish to even attempt to tell you how to improve your image. I see you had expectations for a ribbon and the quality of your image was worthy of one. However, I think your score reflects the number of high quality actions shots entered in this challenge and the fact that your image didn't have a lot of physical action to it. I can't say enough how much I like this image and I wish you the best in future challenges.

Intiresting colours. The contrast to the lightness of the smoke and darkness of it's surroundings and the cool colours of the glass, well done.

Great effort, but it took me a few seconds of studing to disingush the flame (Then I read the title). Maybe some more saturation in this would help

I plan on only voting for the "not your typical" shots this challenge. What an electrifying shot. Must have been a bit time consuming. Looking forward to setup details post challenge. Good luck -8-
