 A cross section of a red onion, died orange- food coloring, tinted red & shadows deepened in Picasa, selective sharpening, minor cloning, minor burning, unsharp mask, & save for web in PS.

great rhythm in this piece. next time see if you can capture a more subtle range of light and shadow and perhaps included some of the lighter tones.

Abstract as I perceive abstract? Yes
Do I like it? I do like it, but it feels a bit cramped for some reason - seems I want to see a bit more to the right of the picture.
Technicals? I can't find anything to suggest to improve on technicals.
