This image really moves me so very much.....It is not only "emotive" in every sense of the word, but also so loving, warm, soft, heart renching, and just plain "very good", to all the senses.....

I love it so very much, and I often think of this one, when my son and daughter in law, talk to me over the phone. They are expecting their first child, our first grandchild, on the 1st March 2007.

After each scan, the dates have often been revised, as there could be a problem. My daughter in law, is of short stature like us, and is possibly carrying a average size baby, so this could mean she may have to have a premature baby, at seven months, which means the baby will be two months premature, so this is why this image means so much to us.

Just added you, plus this image, into my favorites.....

This is so beautiful. The minute I opened it, involuntary tears came to my eyes and a big lump in my heart. Both my sons & their wives just had 2 brand new baby boys, and I still get emotional about their perfect, healthy births. This touches me so deeply!

You did such a wonderful job! They will never forget these photos. What a gift!

In response to your request for a comment on this photograph:

On it's technical merits, a lovely photograph, with deep rich contrasts. The lighting is excellent; I'm sure you were restricted in the lighting here. The angle of capture is really very good, and the person's hands are really beautifully placed, evoking tenderness and care. You've captured it well.

I guess it's something of a disturbing image, only because it makes you hurt for the little guy/gal. I haven't read the thread you're linking to, not wanting to be biased, but it's hard looking at a photo like this. This is as real as it gets. I don't seek out images with this kind of subject matter, so I'm not in the best position to critique it based on it's subject, and it isn't as emotive for me as it will be for others, because neither am I a parent, nor have I had experience with I assume to be a premature infant. Other than this though, it's a lovely photograph on it's own, well captured and executed. Congratulations.

I know how hard it is to do something like this. I myself am involved in infant bereavement photography. I had a session Saturday night...I got called at 2:30am to come to the hospital. The baby had already passed when I arrived. I know how hard it is to do this but you are giving such a wonderful gift. It is a wonderful thing that you have done. I'm glad parents can have beautiful photographs of their precious babies.
Bless you!!
The family is in my prayers.
