Ok - I took this shot and actually posted a version to my portfolio in hopes that Sherpet would just stumble across it. Then afterwards I realized that my perspective shots were not all that great and Aimee suggested I enter this shot in its place. This photo is definitley taken from a Sherpet influenced point of view. I hid the original in my portfolio and re-edited the shot to try and be as close as I could to her style.

I came across this plant while walking in a park with my kids. Had I never seen any of Sherpets work I would probably never have given this plant a second look. It just screamed Sherpet. I know first hand that she liked it.

Post Process - crop, sharpen, levels, saturation and slight hue adjustment on certain channels, brightness/contrast, neatimage, border, save for web.

I thought this was Sherpets! Good job. The colors are vibrant with the red nicely contrasting. The only thing I could find to improve it would be somehow eliminating that piece of open space in the bottom center. Fill the whole crop with just the plant.

I remember seeing this one in your portfolio before the challenge. Liked it then, still like it. Love the red curves - creates a nice flow to the picture. What I really like is that Sherpet's pictures influenced you to look at this plant differently - that's pretty cool!

I love the depth of this shot as the perspective draws me right into the center of this plant. The complementary colors are winning too, as is the focus and hint of DoF. The title is a clever turn...both in reference to Sherpet's well-known style and the double entendre evident in the use of the word "perspective". There is also a kind of rhythm in the curvature of the leaves and the way they relate to each other. I can't think of any way to improve upon it.

No it isn't mine, but I am very honored and proud to have my name on it, thanks to Tim & his lovely wife Aimee.....

Very nice colours and shapes. Not sure what the perspective adds here, but a nice picture anyway :)

Okay, I'll admit I immediately thought of sherpet. That might be too inside a reference, though.
