Location: Paramus, NJ

Date Uploaded: Jul 2, 2006

It's about time. I had suggested this challenge about 6 months ago and was completely over joyed when I saw this challenge. Thanks for making it come true. I hope I do well but it doesn't really matter, I am just glad this challenge was done. Thanks.

All I did was save for web, in doing so I reduced the size to 640x480 and entered it. This was accomplished by keeping my shutter open for 36 seconds and holding a baseball cap in front of it and removing it just long enough to capture the explosions. Hope you enjoy it.

Thank you everyone who voted for this image. As I had said in the description I had asked for this challenge a while ago and it just blows me away how so many real photographers are shooting on DPC. You can see that you can capture a really colorful and detailed image with your camera if you know how to use it. Everyone doesn't have to be a Photoshop wizard to capture real beauty with your camera. Thanks to the people who choose the challenges and hopefully someday we will be working on Straight from the camera X challenge.

For those who voted for my image, thanks. This is my highest ranking and also highest rated image since I joined DPC over a year ago. Little by little I am getting better and some of you are the reason. Thanks.
