Selective Color (increased black level on black and red color channels to deepen reds and enhance vignetting look)
Hue/Saturation (mostly on blue and magenta channels)

Save for Web

...and I used two Cokin graduated neutral density filters, stacked and hand-held in front of the lens. This helped create the deep colors and vignetting effect.

The post-processing on most of my challenge entries would fall under basic editing. I rarely remove anything except sensor dust. I used contrast masking on the shots in my portfolio from this series, but for this challenge entry I just aggressively used the Highlights tool in Photoshop CS 2.

This is just wonderful. Every time I go to DPC home page, this one gets my eye. Really nice capture. Colors are so wonderful and very soothing. Adding as a favourite so I can see when it's gone from the home page.

The submitted version was edited on my laptop -- that's why the colors are so extreme. Here's another version...

Here are a couple more taken from the same dock as the one above...

All these shots were taken on the west side of Lake Tahoe near Homewood. I got there at 5:30 AM, just before sunrise. Pretty much all of the photos from this series were taken while holding two graduated neutral density filters in front of the lens.

Oh yeah, they were all taken with the EF-S 10-22mm lens.

Somewhat unnatural colour cast, but effective and striking none-the-less.
Some weird looking (USM?) halos around the boats on the right...
The post processing is what is faulting this image, as the abstract and technical issues leading up to that point all look fine to me.
