 This is the first time I have ever bought myself tulips...actually no one has ever bought me tulips. This is such a treat for me. I got home with them and Kita starting yelling "there is fire in the sky". I went out and the clouds were like white flames across the sky. "Perfect", I thought. I quickly put the groceries away and grabbed my camera and the tulips.

Nikolas, who was wearing rollerblades at the time, then stood there holding the tulips up to the sky while I photographed them.

I was really pleased with how these shots turned out. Let's hope the voters see things the same way.

I Love this. Tulips are my favourite and the colours here are fantastic. Your ISO is quite high here. Would like to know why you chose this? Focus on the clouds is great.

I never noticed this shot before! I love it. The lighting and colours are fantastic.

Also, great tulips there, I love the vibrant colours.

Ah, beautiful image, great light, excellent DOF choice. In my opinion, though, for this image to be truly excellent it would be nice if the tip of the top tulip were not cut off. In a tight crop like this it seems odd to have one little bit cut of. I think I would consider moving the top tulip to the right also, it looks a bit out of place where it is now. (8)

I like the colors and I especially like the way the pinks and greens look against the blues in the background, but the crop feels too tight, especially at the top and along the right edge.

I think the colors on this are excellent but I wonder at the odd crop/composition. Why so much space on one sides and so little on the three others? Recropping woudl improve. DOF is excellent BTW 6.

This is a very well executed photo as far as lighting and exposure go, but the composition is a problem. When you have objects close to the edge of the frame, you either need to cut them off where it looks intentional or include them completely within the frame. When your subjects just barely touch the edge, it creates an uncomfortable view...
