There are some fascinating patterns on the furnace door. And the yellow heat-trail curving around the top of the ball of glass is highly evocative of the fierce heat inside.

I think there are several photos here, trying to get out. But the whole is less than the sum of the parts, unfortunately. If you had managed to capture just the ball of glass inside the furnace, with that yellow heat flow, you could have had a great shot.

Wow! There are a few similar shots in the challenge, but this is superior. This image is well lit outside the furnace, showing the texture and character of the exterior as well as the blazing orange interior. My top scorer.

It's amazing what experts can do with a 'simple' ball of glass. Good idea. Would be better if you'd use the arm stretching into the furnace more as a leading line and keeping the furnace mouth out of the centre.

Nice composition and deep orange. I like the colors on the rock outside, showing lots of heat through the years.

I think the doors of the glory hole make this image. you have good tonal values (tough to do). This may make a wonderful conversion to B&W.
