She was so scared of the bugs.

There were cockroaches just at her feet.

Poor Ceren, all this just to make me happy.

Was not taken for the challenge as usual but I thought it kżnda met it so...

Lots of poses to choose from but none edited, don\'t have time to edit them, so in a rush mum chose this one.

I hate downsizing. It looks like she's laughing little in this size.

One of my last shots with the canon, actually it was the last shoot I did with the 300D.

Greetings from the Critique Club

I'm so happy to draw this image to critique; I simply love it. The composition is very strong and balanced, with the big tree on the right and the small figure on the left. The colors are wonderful. I especially love the washed out, bright grass, and the very moody, dark sky and tree. It almost looks more like a painting than a photo.
The sky reminds me of the famous Dutch painters in history, like Vermeer and Rembrandt.

If there had to be a point of critique I would think it was the expression on her face. It looks indeed more as if she is having fun than if she is crying for help, although from the challenge it is obvious what your intent was. I also would clone out the dark cloud just to the left of here.

Apparently, not everyone agreed with me, but I still think a 6.29 is way too low a score. But then again, neither Rembrandt or Vermeer were particularly appreciated in their lifetime.

I wondered if this was yours! HA... Great editing - LOVE it. Terrific composition too (as usual). Nice work - surprised this didn't finish in the top 10.

I would have liked this better either without the girl or with a different pose. I realize she has her hands over her ears (I don't really know why) but to me she looks happy and smiling. Maybe a pose where she is looking down or on her knees in the grass would have suited the rest of the photo and this challenge better. The rest of the photo is excellent.

Great dramatic scene and posture on the model. I also like the low contrast; it adds to the desolation-feel. The only "-" for me is that I'm not sure whether or not the model is smiling; kind of seems to be doing so and that doesn't reflect desolation towards me at least. Very well done overall though :) 8

I like the drama of this image...only change...it is hard to tell if model is happy or sad and for desolation I am assuming she is sad.

i really like this shot. i am giving it a 9. the only thought would be that she positioned her arms different because in this pose, she looks as if she is laughing. Other than that, i love it!

Looking out of the photo does seem to work to enhance tyhe desolate feeling in this image. The lone tree and dry grass are somewhat reminiscent of Andrew Wyeth's paintings. He was a master in the art of desolation.

Lovely muted colors and very dramatic sky. However, you model looks more like she's havig fun than your obvious intention.

Dramatic colourisation, but I can't get my eye to rest on the girl. The bush/tree is such a dominating feature it pulls the eye over there.
