Just cruisin' through the DPC site, this is Great! You did an excellent job capturing the fly, without the benefit of a Macro lens. Love how the eyes match the stripes in the candy! Good for you on the BR!! |

| ROFLMAO!! Your title is GREAT!! Reminds me of the movie "A Bugs Life" hehe I don't think the candy being sharper would have behooved this photograph at all. The fly is the main subject and the candy the complimentary subject so I see it as spot on! You did great for not having a macro lens :) |

| This is a unique shot. I like how the eyes of the fly match the candy stripes. I like the orangey color. I like the exposure, focus, and background. I like the positioning. I like the crop. I like how the fly's front legs communicate the title. And, I like how the challenge topic is comminucated. |

| Eh, whatever, you don´t need fancy equipment to make good photos, think you should know that by now! This image definately proves that you don´t need a fancy smancy macro lens to take a cool macro photo, this is nice work! Congrats on your ribbon :) |

| Here's a case where the title probably adds a bit more to a very fine photo. Would "Fly on Candy" have scored better? Who knows, but congratulations on the Blue Ribbon. ;-) |

| I really love the composition and well, the whole idea. The thing I can think of that might make it even more appealing is if the candy were a solid color, since the peppermint stripes sort of lead the eye away from the fly, rather than to him. |
