I have a solid, reliable shot for the green challenge...but am entering this instead...
I am captivated by what i see in this shot..something is going on in her eyes...I shot this on the fly, it is not set-up, nor has any form of lighting been used other than available light...so I am stuck entering this, knowing I will have to face DNMC comments...it is important to me that her mouth is cut off...this is what happens when you truly see someone again for the first time..you don't hear them, you truly see them..people exist in their eyes..

levels, curves, brightness + contrast +, smart sharp in LAB, added border, save for web

Amazing capture of expression and seemingly just right for the challenge. How in the world did this manage to score so low?

A Fan Killed at a David Cassidy Concert

The mountain of your eyes,
impassably beautiful,
cannot distinguish me.

I cannot imagine
you could ever accept
my kisses.

In this way
you are like dying,
a crossing improvised

in desperation,
and only in darkness
can I meet your gaze.

I have no idea what this has to do with "unexpected find" but it's an amazing picture. Please do a post-challenge post to explain your lighting and processing. I love the texture. I'm giving it a 9 even though I don't understand the relevance. Just because it's an outstanding pic.

Good portrait but I would like to see a little more light around the eyes.

Not a bad portrait, a little grey, not sure what it has to do with the challenge.

I'm not sure how this is an unexpected find. It's a great shot. NIce close up and it's sharp.
