I'm guessing most viewers will say "So what, a ladder". The room is one of many vacant ones where I work. As I walked by it, I was struck by the contrast of light and dark created by a single florescent fixture left on 24-7. I chose the ladder as the object because I like the shape and felt it added a dimension of loneliness to the image of a deserted office where there was once a community of people.

Good lighting and composition, but it's rather a boring subject.

I like your choice of item to bring into the room, and the lighting decision you made. Well done.

Wonderful use of lighting to enhance such a bland subject to tell a story.

This seems to have alot of potential, but there just seems to be a lack of impact in the image.

I think this image is great. It's nice placement of the ladder. Nice lighting. I'm not fond of the floor in this photo. Nice detail and tones in the ladder though.

nice idea, but think you could have found a more dynamic perspective than an eye-level shot.

Nice composition and lighting, maybe a little more light for the entire room would help to make this image a little more interesting IMO. 7
