 I think this shot represents the whole song...some young guy falling for her, coming home to find her waiting there for him..that kind of thing. The bikes, locked gate are the keys to making this work. I had trouble deciding whether to use "In My Life" (There are places I remember...) , my fav Beatles song-in the end the simplicity of this song title won out...
I love the shadows on her face...I know many would make sure you could see both eyes, but I am captivated shadows-I love what shadows do..they make me stop and want more...this shot suits my eye...I am happy with it.

Calculations (soft 100%), levels (mono), curves, burned a bit, LAB smart sharpen, added border, save for web.

Great image..very moody and evocative thanks to the strong directional light source creating dark shadowy areas.

Y'know... I figured out the song before I even scrolled down. This is just a great shot all around and just really makes you emotionally drawn to her. Great subject and nice and basic with the link to the song. 10 in my book.

nice photo, but why does it mean "something"? You could call anything that I suppose! You could have called this "she's leaving home" to better effect
