Congratulations on third,beautiful falls!!!
07/22/2002 07:39:00 AM
Congratulations on a well earned 3rd. For me, the mist shown here "makes the photo".
07/22/2002 01:40:00 AM
Congrats Tim, great shot!
07/22/2002 12:56:00 AM
Congrats to you!! Hurray.

Woo Hoo to you on your ribbon - I must say, this pic made an impact on me this week - I saw a waterfall and was telling a friend about your photo...I'm glad you placed! :)
07/22/2002 12:33:00 AM
excellent shot tim! a well deserved ribbon, once again :)

Beautiful photo. I like almost everything about it....... The girl is a nice addition, she helps to show the sheer size of the falls. Her body language is all wrong. I want to see her doing something interesting. (perhaps dangling her feet in the water). she is in an exotic place but she is not dressed exotically, she looks more like a tourist- this is giving the feel of a snapshot. - 7

Beautiful colors and very nice. The only comment I would make is about the person. Though there may be some significance to have her there, it almost looks out of place. If she is to be there, maybe compose it so that she is a "larger" player in the picture. Otherwise, an awesome shot.
07/21/2002 06:37:00 PM
Wonderful photo! Very nice lighting and colors. The only thing is that I would have tried to let the girl look up, maybe a little more to the direction of the watrerfall. Now she seems to be a bit concentrated too much on herself.
The title suggests that she's falling asleep but then I would have chosen a more relaxed pose. Like resting on her ellbows.
07/21/2002 05:45:00 PM
Very tough photo. Nice shadow detail leads to a washed out waterfall. I think I woulda prefered more detail in the fall. The cropping, however, is great, and really helps suggest the enormity of the falls.
07/21/2002 03:54:00 PM
what a wonderful place to be : )
07/21/2002 02:54:00 PM
What a wonderful spot that you've captured so well. Nice color and good capture of the water flow. Good job.
07/21/2002 01:40:00 PM
without the model this would have been more impressive.
07/20/2002 10:09:00 PM
very peaceful
07/19/2002 10:16:00 PM
is this snoqualmie falls?
07/19/2002 07:27:00 PM
Wonderful waterfall. I like the blur of the falling water, very cool. inviting......

All I can say is wow!
07/18/2002 02:07:00 PM
what an amazing scene... i think your exposure here is just about perfect. any less and you would have too much darkness in the cliff rocks. any more and you would have blown the water out completely. I don't know what is visible to the left of this image, but i would like the overall composition more if the fall was not dead centered. I also really like the placement of the girl in this photo. It gives a very nice sense of perspective to the size of these falls... = 10 - jmsetzler

cropping from the left would lessen the fuzziness on the right and make the girl image more effective; very green stuff on the bottom right looks manipulated
07/17/2002 10:40:00 PM
Beautiful! How long was the exposure?
07/17/2002 08:09:00 PM
good study
07/17/2002 05:56:00 PM
I like it..
07/17/2002 04:19:00 PM
very nice 6

Great job.

Beautiful
07/17/2002 11:39:00 AM
The scenery is great, but I don't really see what the girl adds to this shot the way it is. There seems to be some color on the left side of the frame - perhaps you could have used that to your advantage.
07/17/2002 10:40:00 AM
nice concept.
07/17/2002 10:10:00 AM
I am relatively new to photgraphy but THIS is the kind of picture that I aspire to!
Absolutely gorgeous down to every single detail.
07/17/2002 10:08:00 AM
gorgeous area. nice placement for the girl.
07/17/2002 09:34:00 AM
At first I didn't like the person in the foreground...but as I kept going back to this, I think it serves to emphasize the magnitude of this beautiful, powerful waterfall. I like the dreamy effect of the flowing water and the mist surrounding it. 9 KDJohnson
07/17/2002 04:19:00 AM
which place is this?... exposure is good
07/17/2002 03:24:00 AM
!! the contrast of the girl and the waterfall is PERFECT. 10.
07/17/2002 02:25:00 AM
I might have tried to bring the lighting levels down a bit to provide a more richer and mystical feeling. Great shot.. Where is this?... Ronin 7
07/17/2002 12:39:00 AM
Very powerful image. Its originality is also a breath of fresh air.
07/16/2002 09:15:00 PM
inspiring. however, gesture of girl doesn't blen with scenery
07/16/2002 04:38:00 PM
i love the soft waterfall, the girl in the corner of the shot is also a nice addition, although her shadow shows that the photo was taken in broad daylight and detracts a little from the softness of the rest. the bright green foilage in the foreground is also a little distracting but i understand that you may not have been able to position yourself so as to exclude that. -- gr8photos (6)

Nice photo; however, there seems to be a slight cyan colour cast.
07/16/2002 04:07:00 PM
Stunning location, stunning shot. I'd be very pround of this shot.
07/16/2002 03:59:00 PM
This is a great picture. Where was it taken? Great focus. Great lighting.
07/16/2002 03:36:00 PM
beautiful 8
07/16/2002 05:06:00 AM
On my monitor, I have to scroll when the photo shows up.. and I liked it .. like at 9 status.. until I saw the girl. It offers a good idea on how big the falls are.. but I think that it would have been a more dramatic photo without the girl. But then again this is a wonderful picture too. 8 :)
07/16/2002 12:23:00 AM
hmm, the girl kinda ruins it for me, maybe if she were laying down... However, great shot 8
07/15/2002 10:15:00 PM
Approprate use of long shuttter to show notion of the watter falling, but maybe a bit too much effect. I would prefere to see some of the shape of the water. All things in photography are a compromise of playing one extreme aginst the other to get the desired effect. This is one of my top picks this week.
07/15/2002 08:35:00 PM
The girl sitting in the corner really makes this picture.
07/15/2002 08:21:00 PM
like seeing the scale w/waterfall and young lady
07/15/2002 06:59:00 PM
ok I want to go there
07/15/2002 04:58:00 PM
Is that Burney Falls? Where ever it is you did a good job. Very nice color too. Kee
07/15/2002 02:24:00 PM
Excellent picture. NIce colors! MJ 9
07/15/2002 02:17:00 PM
very nice... I wish the girl would be doing something else...
07/15/2002 12:42:00 PM
Good use of a person to give it scale.
07/15/2002 11:59:00 AM
Beautiful Shot, Love the composition and everything. The girl in the shot gives a nice feeling of scale. Great Work :)
07/15/2002 11:47:00 AM
Good color. I like how the colors of the water show.
07/15/2002 10:50:00 AM
This is beautiful. I wish the girl were in the water though. It seems like the greens are a little strange too. 7 Lisa
07/15/2002 08:06:00 AM
Really nice with the girl in the foreground.
07/15/2002 02:30:00 AM
Nice waterfall. I think I would have liked this better without the person in the photo. Otherwise a very nice photo.
07/15/2002 01:16:00 AM
Beautiful. A new favorite photo.
07/15/2002 01:04:00 AM
Nice shot, but I think a vertical orientation and less blur on the waterfall would have looked better.
