Thanks for all the comments. In response to the requests for more info, the event was the Sultan's Elephant parade in London over the weekend. It was pouring with rain, but the huge mechanical elephant (47 tons, about 4 stories high) was worth the drenching!

I must repeat Matthew, that as a record of the event, this is a masterful piece of composition - in the simplest way, you've given us the scale of the beast, without compromising the impact of the detail of the shot.

This photograph is so intriguing. Clearly it seems to be from some sort of film or TV set given the operator located above. Such an amazing scene, great sense of scale and curiosity. colors and treatment are top-notch.

I was down there on Sunday - and had the 'pachyderm' thought too, but couldn't find a suitably sounding overall title, and so idmsissed the idea. I'm not wholly convinced by yours either :-)

But I love this as a record of the event - the tiny figure of the operator is a master-stroke. I liked the girl more than the Elephant - and she had the chance of the word 'puppet' more relevantly. Nice work.

Are you on a movie set? That doesn't seem fair, but you certainly took good advantage of it. High points from me.

I love it. I looked at it a several times yesterday and discovered that man the second time I looked at the photo. Great colors and post processing.
