 I had a lovely walk around Woy Woy this afternoon, it was so calm. I noticed these pelicans thought it may be an interesting photo.

I added a slight gradient to the sky, just to try and avoid blowouts. This is my first attempt at doing so.

First , I have to tell you that yellow is one of my favorite colors (the other one is blue) so now you can imagine the big smile on my face ...
In your photo , the yellow tones fit very very well , they are warm and peaceful.I haven't seen the original but you wrote that you added a slight gradient , well done , the sky looks great !

Comparing with , the sky looks much better in your challenge entry.

Excellent capture , good composition , I'm sure that a panoramic crop should look fantastic too (for a print).

This is a neat silhouette! I like the yellow and black--gives it a great graphic concept. The one pelican to the extreme right doesn't add anything and kind of pulls the eye out of the composition. Wish there were more emphasis on the "two-headed" pelican...slight cropping would strengthen this composition, in my opinion.

More of the yellow sky and less of the house would work better for me... not have the birds in the center line of the photo. rule of thirds. but good photo.

NIce range of poses among the pelicans. The slanted roof adds quite a bit of visual interest, and the silhouettes agains the color of the sky looks great.

Nice silhouette - I like that the silhouettes are sharp and interesting. I'm not sure the roof itself is so interesting - I think perhaps less roof and more sky would improve the composition a lot. That said, it's a fun and interesting pic.
