I don't know what the gomers who voted below 5 were thinking, this is a definite top 10 photo. I think more bright/sat on the colors may have helped ... maybe no black line between them as well. And maybe no sunglasses, but I'd have to see.

In any case - exceptional photo. Voters suck.

Tighter crop would have gotten you at least another point from me. Very unique, interesting take on the challenge.

Interesting way to portray the colors. Clean, uninterupted background.

And I thought MY girlfriend was understanding! nice photo, I'd prefer a white background, but this is still outstanding. Kudos for the effort

Grea idea! and nice composition too. I imagined how some softer less harsh lighting would've looked, and at first glance I found the single flash lighting a bit of a downer but it's growing on me :) -7

Nice work and effort here. Kudos to your model . With the glasses pulled down, would have liked to see the colors carried up to the bottom of the eyes. That flesh area stuck out to me, but I'm sure she had had enough at that point. :O) One of my favs. 8

3 - Think I can see what you were going for but don't think you have achieved the full potential. Perhaps a variation in lighting and focus may have helped, not sure. Also, given what appear to be green eyes (and indeed the brown hair), perhaps going for the red/green scheme may have been more.. 'complementary'. Even a close up of the skin may have worked well here, but framed as is, with the lighting, clothing, etc.. not working as well as it could be, in my opinion.

I might have liked this even better if the colors were saturated just a little more, but it's still a 10 from me!

Wow. That's devotion :) I'm giving you a 10 just for effort. The shot is a little dark, or I would call it a winner.
