Borrowed this antique window frame from a neighbouring farm, I wanted to leave the glass in and simulate rain, but the glass was so milky I had to take it out. Unfortunately cracked one pane when replacing it.
I set this up in my living room. Iwnted to see the room in the background, but it was too busy. I put up a white cloth instead but now find that too plane.
Lighting was a large softbox to my right and a white reflector on te left. Light shining through white cloth behind.
Little post processing was needed.
Crop, minor rotate, filled the gap between the windows.
cloned out a little portion of the chair Christopher was sitting in.

Nice, not crazy about the WHITE backround but everything else I like.

Nice child acting. He really looks bored. Lighting may be a bit too bright, but a fine shot.

Great job. I think this might be just a tad hot exposure wise. 9.

Very good job with exposure! Great detail in the child's face and toy, as well as the window itself. I can almost see it as a vertical presentation with just half the window, but prefer it square as you've done it here.

Excellent clarity. Was there glass in the frames?

I think a different background would have improved this slightly, its a bit plain at the moment in my opinion.

Really wonderful expression and mood that you captured in this little boy, which fits well with your title. However, I find the white background to be a little distracting, pulling my eyes off you main subject. Perhaps the original background was too busy, which is why you chose to remove it. The highlights on the hair and the arm also seem just a touch blown on my monitor.

nice use of the window frame, the fact the boy's at the right side looking out of the photo is surprising good. might have a bit more contrast. 8

Well shot. However, I'm not sure I like the white background and all that empty space framed. Shooting just that one square with the boy in it would have worked better for me. Anyway, just my opinion. Good luck!

This is one of my favorites of this challenge, but there is something about the white background that seems wrong. 8
