 Just arrived at the beach and my husband found this old glass float. We hear they are a real treasure to find and local artists even put out replicas for the summer tourists to find. We would like to research this and find out more about these buoys that perhaps Japanese fishermen used to keep their fishing nets afloat. This was only minutes out of the sea when we found it, complete with barnacles and tiny little crabs attached to one side.

Beautiful! Love the mist over the sea in the background, as well. Very nice mood to this. Great color and fantastic find!

One of my favourites from this challenge. Also brings back pleasant memories of beachcombing in Australia, Britain, and China... They don't use glass floats very much anymore.

The float is too close to the edge of the frame I wanted to vote higher on this one.
