Danny, dude! What a great shot. Yet another purple ribbon. Still a wonderful image.

At least you made the top D100 images. :) Keep up the good work.

Jacques.

Way to go Danny! It is always a little game of mine to try to guess which is your shot during the challenges. I didn't pick this one tho, I reckon I gotta get used to that new camera of yours as well :-)

Very artisitic shot and a nice angle. not absolutely sure that the title works, but it's a good composition, lovely tones and good lighting. Good use of square format too. [7]

excellent shot... the web contrasts against the blurred background beautifully in this photo.

awesome. great capture--the framing is perfect, the dof is perfect, the detail on the web is great, as is the detail on the window frame. i love your choice of toning, really helps to bring out the small details. nice work.

There is really nothing about this shot that I don't like. Composition, lighting, subject, choice of coloring, and concept work together for a wondefully visually appealing shot. One of my 10's this week. Congrats on this great work.

Very nice capture of a spider web. Some of the light spots on the bottom right are a little distracting, but probably couldn't be avoided. Nice colors.

Very cool shot, great sepia effect. I really like the bright highlights on the inside of the window frame, the web, and with the white in picture border. This is the best use of a border I've seen in a LONG time... maybe the best. Great attention to detail. 9.

As this photo was loading and all I could see was the top two panels, I thought it was a broken window. But then, as the rest of the picture was revealed and I realized it was a spider web, your title really had meaning. I love everything about this picture, from the great lighting on the window panes and web to the blur of the background to the framing to the lack of color. Extraordinary shot. Good luck with the challenge. This looks like a ribbon-winner to me!

Another of my favourites in this challenge.
Lighting is spot on - the way it paints the threads of that web is wonderful and the pools of light outside make that view, though undefined, seem appealing.
Using the window frame as both border and framing for the view works very well and creates a very strong composition.
Black and white is absolutely right for the image.
I'm sure (and I hope) this will do well.

I like this response to the challenge and the web it wonderful -intricate across the windowframe lines for me the light splotch in the lower right is a distraction

Like what you did with this shot. Good tones and use of DOF. I can't five you any helpful advice because it does not need improvement and I could not do any better myself. 9

great image. One of my favorites. This is really well lit and exposed. I'm impressed with how clearly you managed to show the spiderweb. The sepia is a nice choice as well.
