I like the yellow textured background, but there may be too much chair in this one. Your lighting was well done though and you even caught quite a bit of detail in the shadow. She is quite cute.

Very cute - looks like you leverage some awesome window lighting. The composition is very nice and the colors are really rich. Although I get the composition, it really leaves me wanting to see more of Marissa and less of the chair. This would be awesome in a series of shots, where you have some close-ups as well. Nicely done! Bumping up.

first of all, GREAT choice on the deep DOF!

Very nice color and tones in your setting. Great use of windowlight for a 'studio' portrait. I love contrast of the little girl in the big chair. And her arms around her knees is perfect for the feeling of the shot. A minor nitpick - it would be better with a shirt that blends into the colors of the wall and florr and chair. The cool purple sleeves stand out against all the warm tones. 7 from me.

Cute kid, great colours and nice relaxed pose. I reckon bare feet would have given this shot a real life. Socks don't suit these kind of shots IMHO. Well done, hope you do well with this...

I love how the chair and the wall give her a sense of size. Filling the frame with a child often leaves out that sense that they are still young. Beautiful shades, excellent pose, great job.

I like this but it could have been cropped much tighter. Try eliminating the chair from the cushion down and the left side from the edge to the chair over. This would place her on the left side of the picture and make her more dominant. IMHO 6
