A narrow alleyway between two shops in town.
I was walking past and saw one of my son's friends coming from the far end. Feeling like an idiot, I hide around the corner until I thought her footsteps sounded close enough, then as steady and as fast as I dared, I stepped from behind the wall and snapped. A millisecond later, she recognized me and what was going on and broke into laughter.
Its a bit unfocused due to me having to be so quick. But all and all, I am pleased with it. Would of been better if there was more graffiti. What wrong with the bored local youngsters ? Don't they know the importance of 'street art' as a backdrop?
Around here, you need to be careful about photographing people without their permission...very likely to get your bottom kicked.

Thanks to all the voters and for the comments. I appreciate every single one.
Posed...? Certainly not. But I can understand that it was generally perceived to be set-up and that's OK . If it was a great candid, the viewer would not even question the 'validity' of the shot. Its all a leaning curve for me...and I can only get better. Thank you for viewing my photograph.

Love the composition and angle. She seems not to be very impressed with the camera. Interesting Lady - You get a 7 from me.

I don't know, but this looks way more "posed" than it should. It could be that she just happened to look at the camera as she walked by, but I'm willing to bet this this isn't a "candid" shot.

I don't usually like comments or give them, but since candids are near and dear to my heart, I have decided to comment on every photo in this challenge.

I was never one for tilted photos, and unfortunately, this one is no different. It may also be a candid, but I see little emotion or story here within the photo itself. The tilted look only makes me have to search for it deeper. It's a 4 vote from me.

Nice study in b/w. I also like the composition of the shot. The only thing that is standing out is the graffiti on the wall taking my eye away from the lovely woman. Great shot that meets and exceeds the challenge requirements. 10 from me.
