GREAT!!!
SLR cams give so flexibility - like reverse mounting, etc...

I seem to find myself clicking on this image every second time I visit DPC. I'm going to have to learn something about the whole reversed lens caper - this is right up there with the best macros every seen on this website.

Dude. Totally awesome. I did not know there was such a picture in the challenge, but I took some shots posted in this thread probably within a few days of your pic. I like yours a bit better for the BG and color treatment though.

Nice.

I will probably post more details and setup shots later on to maintain that a bit when I get time for those who are interested.

Most other challenges you'd have won the blue with this Phil - bad luck Manny happened along this time. Very nice macro nonetheless, and absolutely deserves to be on the front page.

well done.

Wowsers!!! This is incredible! You have really put together the total package here. I mean, this like goes beyond macro! So, you've got the extreme close up, amazing detail thing going on. Then you've got the fiercely strong, in your face composition. And you've got these sweet colors happening. And on top of it all, awesome lighting, ...and...talk about texture. I feel like if I put my fingers on the screen, I could feel that guy! Aaaannddddd....interest factor??? Man, fahget abowt it! :-P I could look at this all night! You know, usually, some bug macros are kinda cool, but for the most part, I'm normally like, yeah, that's good, but, anh. This shot though is just the bomb, man. Fav, 10, sign me up, yeah!!!
....oh, and...nice shot :-)

Wow! I mean, holy cow, can you say "macro"?! This is unbelievable. The details. I can see defects in the lattice of the eyes, like missing cells or something. what is it anyway? wasp, bee, fly, or some strange monster alien that landed in your garden?

04/07/2006 04:50:49 PM
Eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee. . . .how fast can I press 10 before I can get away (because it really is texture to PERFECTION!!!!!!) Great job. ..now BYE!
