 Thanks so much for all the comments and votes. Really glad for I got my first ribbon :)

This is indeed a glass sphere set on spoon in front of an image on a screen. I admit I didn't apply the white background to the image perfectly well but the refraction is perfect. Played around with various DOF to get the refraction and lines of the spoon sharp enough and the background OOF just enough to not drive the eye mad. Taped the spoon to the top of a bottle for position and a white piece of paper under the spoon. The rest of the room was lights out.

Basic editing:
Crop, Levels, Color Balance, Shadows/Highlights, Hue/Sat, Resize, Sharpen. Some gentle noise removal applied and sharpened up a bit again.
