Yes, this is the same mushroom as my ribbon winner last week "Outcast". I replaced all the same sets of mushrooms in the background aswell, although most of them warped beyond recognition in the process of drying.

I used the same setup as the original, so you can read it up there:

Cubensis? ;)

From my perspective, this picture exudes emotion. The mushroom stem is like the neck of an old person, and I find the picture haunting and riveting.

That's so not fair, a Deja Vu on your own challenge! :P

Still a great picture, even though it's not fair. ;)

Nice recycle of props, and great shot.

I thought that this had to be you recreating/following up on your own award winner! :-) Great job! Very cool shot.

It's very nice to se before and after of those mushrooms.

Maybe in Deja Vu III there will be a resurrection?

These mushrooms have been your ticket to fame and fortune! What an excellent idea...deja vuing your own shot! Did I see the mushrooms again in another challenge recently??? Congratulations on your placement

A deja-vu ON YOUR OWN IMAGE? That's cojones! But it's also thematically fascinating, as it shows the same setup in its decline. Congrats on 4th!

One of the meanest images in this challenge! Congratulations on your 4th placing. Ouch! What a close shave.

I loved the original - I like this one just as well.

Outstanding and vibrant image in the way it cuts nto the viewer with such arresting detail with the strength of a Labuda execution! Bump.

The technical quality of this composition is unsurpassed.

Interesting mushroom shapes, good composition, lighting, sharpness. I think that it is even more interesting than the original. Should do well.

Boy! Are you Aleks? This is a real good, well done image. I hope this is done by a different person. If it is I should bump it up. Nice job. 8

This must be the one talked about in the threads about possibly being imitated by the same person who took the original. Oh well - either way we really liked this one alot. It's in my top 3 - not counting my own of course.

Almost too good a replica.

Excellent take on the photo!!
03/24/2006 12:20:26 PM
There's nothing special about this. It's just a reshoot of the exact same mushroom.
03/24/2006 03:12:59 AM
You mean these aren't the same shrooms? Nice parody - great shallow focus.
03/24/2006 02:52:22 AM
Perfect focus and DOF.

WOW - I remember that one. That's a really good duplicate. I almost like yours more. Good one.
