This is (and i mean nothing aginst the origional) way better than the origional.

the lighting is more refined with in the technique used in both shots. the sharpness plays better acrossed this than the former...and the face is truly more expressive (when compaired).

to me this tops the origional shot by far. it brings a real conection to the viewer that the other failed to have at any high level.

the energy to is different here, and conveys different feeling and emotional value...it is far less cold. and far more touching/caring.

truly a great image....with alot to say.

the title suites it as well.

What an excellent tribute to your father. His face is so expressive and detailed and you've captured that without being pandering. Looks flawless to me. Caught my eye immediately when you posted it in the B&W thread.

great detail and lighting. Also your composition is blessed with an inverted triangle because of the shape of his head. This was my favorite tribute image of this variety although the other BW portraits were very good. bump to 10 and good luck.

edit: within the Boundry Conditions, a great photo. :)
