They say a week in politics is a long time... but last week was very very long, I can tell you. Wow, I was always fearing the downhill period. It never came.

Thanks to you all for the wonderful comments and high scores. My first ribbon. It means so much.

This was a late entry. It was taken the last day of submission, 14th of March, on my twins birthday. Högni woke up with fever so I came home early from work to be with him.. and take some shots!

I like to thank him and Hávar, his twin brother (who was the model in my Picasso Jr. shot in Tribute), for being so patient with me and my camera.
Wonderful boys with great eyes!

Somehow I missed this one. Really well done. The almost high key approach, the composition and the tack sharp focus come together to create an excellent image.

Congratulations on your first ribbon. A very well composed picture wich draws attention to what thinking and learning is going on. Nice colors, especially of the eye. Maybe the eye should have been lowered a bit, looking at the top of the page. Flott.

Way to my friend, congrats on a well deserved ribbon. This is a well composed portrait, clean and elegant. The Icelandic dictionary proves to be reliable for more than writing, solid stuff. Your boys are great models, I guess we will be seeing a lot of them here.

This style is very Icelandic so the votes from here should be good;-) Great work and the eye is clear and seeking education. Thinking about the cropping though and the location of the eye... have to dwell on that one. Still it is a great picture.

oooooh! I like this shot! GReat composition - very artistic. Love the bright attentive eye - the depth that the book being open adds to the picture, and the texture of the fly away hair. The borders also help with impact. VEy good job!
