The system helps create the apathy..in North America the idea of maintaining standards, and then teaching to these tests is a lesson in irony..the tests are contributing to students being poorly educated, memorizing instead of thinking. Students aren't being engaged because too often there isn't time for creative thinking, and yet this is what businesses are asking for..creative minds are needed to solve problems beyond business..world peace, environmental issues, conflicts between different idealogies..
We must do everything in our power to empower the young..the world's future depends on it..
Shot in an actual locker..used a softbox (one) for the first time...wish this was advanced editing..would like to clean it up...
Levels, curves, convert to Lab, lightness channel, grayscale, levels, crop, added border, smart sharpen, save for web.
..listened to The Shins while editing...

I like this image a lot. It stirs memories of being "trapped" inside my locker when I was young ;) The tonal values and the subjects expression really makes this image stand out among the rest. Good luck.

I love the picture, but I feel the theme could be little more clear. BUt the lighting is beautiful, as is the despondent look.

I love this photo. The lock up in the corner .... in the darkness .... the light on the child, the
wonderful focus, great naturalness of the body and trueness of the clothing. 9

Great use of light and shadow. I like the negative space in the middle. Great idea to just have the lock highlighted. Nice clarity and contrast.
