Nice one Ed - result! Let's hope they don't ban school uniforms otherwise you'll be left twiddling your thumbs next time you're out in the rain.
Lovely pure photo. By the way, how many others were taking photos? Was that woman shouting to a shoal of photographers or did the other person/people have brighter clothes and bigger lenses?! These things bother me ya know... |

Sometimes, being in the right place at the right time, really pays off, eh? Wonderful image. Only in Europe or GB would you find a group of school children, dressed impecably in their uniforms! All standing, in the rain, fantastic reflections, cute pale faces, amid the sea of red, black and grays. Really wonderful. Brings back memories.

| I love finding naturally selected desaturation. Some people just don't understand how to dress themselves appropriately to disuade/attract photographers. Gosh the teachers even have matching red (and a nice touch of orange) bags. Glad to see this got the ribbon it deserved. |

| I have you as one of my only two or three favorite photographers. I don't really add any anymore, but you have made a difference in my interpretation of photography. I happened to look at your ribbons and runner up finishes, and you must be the king of 4th and 5ths. Almost laughable, but then I look at those as successes anyway. Great image..even though it`s obviously not a selective desat, it does have that feel due to the image being largely red and grey.
Tell the truth Ed...you`re a closet desat man :)
Not surprised to see the teacher getting tough on anyone taking pics,I know from experience(taking sports shots at schools) that some children`s parents expressly forbid their kids from having their pictures taken..even in team shots.
Makes me wonder what kind of home life they have and how many hang-ups and phobias they will end up carrying with them through life.
Rant over, it only remains for me to congratulate you on your Blue.
