I used my younger sister's p&s, which has a super macro mode. I would have never been able to get this close with my camera. Lit with a desk lamp, model is my younger sister.

either to much contrast of to much sharpening. It looks so digital and not in a good way

Something went wrong here. The eye lashes are over processed and out of focus. Overall I like the shot.

fascinating and wonderous shot; I'm not so sure about the crop here, a bit too "in your face" but that iris is tremendous.good luck.

i love the detail in the iris...the only thing i can suggest is that the slightly overexposed white area to the left can be a little distracting b/c its so harsh. i also wished that the tips of the eyelashes could had been more in focus. other than that, this shot really draws one's attention, good job :)

Wow! Not sure I want to know this individual! Too much energy, too much attitude ... and I'm older than dirt. Evocative photo I will give a good score to!

would love to have seen this in colour...it looks like the proportions haven't been constrained, but I might be wrong...the detail in the eyes is amazing

Great close-up, as it really pops out at you even the thumbnail....Very good.
