A quite astonishing picture - the more I look at it the more fascinated I am at the level of detail and symmetry in this.

Great shot Brin.

Greetings From The Critique Club!!!

Initial inpact: WOW!! What a powerfull and dark image!!

Contrast: Good contrast whites, Blacks and everything in the middle.

Composition: Normaly I don't like the main subject to be in the ddead center of the image. But in this situation I think it works well. The reflections frobably would not have looked quite as impressive otherwise.

Story: I feel this image tells a story and keeps the viewers interested. The back ground is a spectacular use of freco's and the "dark" preist realy seems to go with the mood the the frescos and the overall darkeness of the image. This is definately not you typical pretty church shot. It is easy to imaging the preist ranting and raving about fire and brimstone. Very effective photo.

Focus: Dead on focus. Nice crisp image through out. There isn't much more to say than that about the focus.

Complaints: It took me second to find the preist amidst the rest of the spectacular details. I perhaps a darker lit back ground with a bit of a spotlight on the preist would have helped with this.

Overall a very nice image. I would have voted this one very highly had I voted on that challenge. Nicely done. I look forward to seeing more of these breathtaking photos from yet another Icelander:)

I detected the reflection but was unable to determine the object. By all means, you have manged to create a surreal effect and an image with great carriage of beauty. Congratulations on your top ten finish.

Congrats Bragi with a very well deserved result. You are a truly creative photographer. I only rated less than 2/3rd of the photos so I never got to this one but I certainly would have commented on it if I had.

Cleverly done. I take it that the reflective surface is angled. At first glance I can see why some may have recommended DQ. I hope the validation was done early enough not to have affected your score. 9

That's pretty cool. I take it that's a shiny conference table or something? Whatever it is great effect. Oh and that background is stunning (as is this photo). This gets one of my very few 10s.

The top half of the photo is "heavier" than the bottom half which for me is slightly distracting. A "true" mirror effect would have given this photo even more power than it already has. Great shot.

Nice touch showing that this has been validated because I keep looking at it wondering how in the world you got that amazing effect. It's beautiful and interesting, and I can't wait until after the challenge to see the details. I HOPE there's not a "N/A" on the photo description :) Wonderful photo!
