Driving through the country in my part of the world often reveals some real gems. I found a yard owned by a man who seems to collect old Cadillacs. He has restored a few of them, but what is sitting in his yard today is far from 'restored'. This photo shows a portion of the front grill of a 1956 Cadillac.

Post Processing:

Curve adjustment layer to create added contrast from the original exposure.

Channel Mixer adjustment layer to convert to black and white.

Curve adjustment layer to add the tone.

I guess people didn't look at it long enough to see the reflection in the grill?...I sure don't see any skyscrapers...

...perhaps it's a "southern" thing...I've known of some guys around here (East TN) who have even gone up in planes and such looking for "project" cars...now that's some dedication.

I'm surprised that most of my commenters can't associate old rusted out cars with country life. I suppose i needed to stand back and show the country environment to prove that it's in the country and not on Times Square :)

It's a nice photo of an old car. I like the highlights and tigh composition, but for me personally, it doesn't say "country life."

Nice view of an old legend. I can just picture A.P. Carter barreling down the backroads in this thing.

OOO I have a new fav to add thanks.

Umm...I'm a little confused how a junkyard Caddy represents country life. There's not even a barn in the reflection. Awsome shot though. I've added it to my favorites.
