Bucolic simplicity...

This is my neighbor's house, early morning after a fresh snow...I just love that little lone cloud...

Many would probably deem it a shanty, especially by American standards...it is squat and tiny...maybe 200 square feet...maybe...I can reach up and touch that roof peak you see just above the window ( I'm a tall chick though... a bit over 5'9" ) He has an economy car missing one wheel cover and one dog for whom he comes home to everyday at lunch hour to take for a spin around the yard...he goes to church every Sunday.

It's not about what you have...it's about how you choose to live...

I like it Rachel. Like the others, I don't know why this didn't score higher. Doesn't really matter though because you obviously got something out of this shot. I really like your Photographers comments as well as the title. Nice job.

I agree with Gunnsi. This is a beautiful photograph. Should have placed a lot higher. Democracy is weird.

I don't understand why this did not score higher! Maybe because of the "vignetting effect" in the corners.

Had it not been for those tall thin branches in the foreground, I would have scored this even higher. I really like the lighting on the roof and trees on the right.

Heh! I used that word on my wife a couple weeks ago, and she thought I made it up...

Doesn't exactly say "country" to me - could just as well be a backyard in suburbia. But it's a very pretty shot - love the single cloud just between the tines of the reed-like plant.

The lighting is awsome.
