I've thought a lot about this shot. It looks incredible. The focus is almost too sharp given the challenge. Still, just because I couldn't do it doesn't mean it's not possible. There are enough streaks for me to be inclinded to give you the benefit of the doubt. I'll try to remember to check this after the challenge.

Good vantage point to keep the background simple. The bird is sharp and you've left space for it to fly into. The conversion to B&W also seems to work well. Good technique.
